The main EV charging apps and maps used in the Philippines include VoltHub, Evro, Solarius EV Charging, xCharge+ by EVOxCharge, Supernova EV Charger, PlugShare, and the Department of Energy's EVCS location portal. No single app controls every network, so the best choice depends on where you charge and whether you are a driver or a station owner.

VoltHub is designed for both sides of the charging session. Its map displays Philippine charging stations recorded by the DOE, including locations operated by other providers. At stations connected to VoltHub, drivers can start and pay through the app or use an H5 web flow without downloading an app. Station owners can also connect existing third-party OCPP equipment after compatibility testing.

Quick answer: VoltHub can be used to discover charging stations recorded by the DOE, but a map listing does not mean VoltHub can control that charger. Live status, session start, and payment work only at VoltHub-connected stations. At supported connected stations, drivers can charge through the mobile app or VoltHub H5 without downloading an app.

Philippines EV charging apps compared

App or map Best for Published functions Important limitation
VoltHub Drivers and station owners using the VoltHub platform DOE-recorded station map; app or H5 charging, live status, QR/RFID, payments, and monitoring at connected stations; operator dashboard Third-party DOE listings are for discovery unless the charger is connected to VoltHub
Evro Discovering and using participating Philippine charging networks Station discovery, connector data, session monitoring, GCash or card payment Coverage and control depend on participating charge-point operators
Solarius EV Charging Solarius destination and public charging network Station availability, directions, QR/RFID access, payment, notifications, history Primarily for the Solarius network
xCharge+ / EVOxCharge EVOxCharge public stations and business sites Map, live status, QR start, wallet or supported payment, history, AC/DC connector information Session control applies to EVOxCharge-connected stations
Supernova EV Charger Supernova charging locations Station search, QR start, payment, live session status, transaction history Primarily for the Supernova network
PlugShare Cross-network discovery and driver check-ins Community map, connector filters, photos, reviews, and check-ins Listing or check-in data may not equal the operator's live status; payment usually happens elsewhere
DOE EV Industry Portal Official EVCS location and provider verification Government registry and accreditation information Not a universal charging-session and payment app

Features and coverage change as networks add stations or integrations. Review the latest store listing and the operator's own station page before relying on an app for a trip.

1. VoltHub EV charging app

Best for drivers: discovering DOE-recorded charging stations and using stations connected to the VoltHub platform.

The VoltHub app is available for iOS and Android. Its map displays Philippine EV charging stations recorded by the DOE, including third-party locations. Drivers can use the directory information to find stations and review published location or connector details.

A DOE listing and a VoltHub connection are different. VoltHub cannot remotely control another operator's charger merely because it appears on the map. Live availability, session start, payment, and monitoring are enabled only when the charger is integrated with the VoltHub platform.

Charge through VoltHub H5 without downloading the app

Drivers do not always need to install the VoltHub mobile app. At supported VoltHub-connected stations, the H5 browser-based charging flow provides a no-download way to start and complete a charging session. This is useful for occasional users, visitors, and drivers who do not want to create another permanent app installation.

The H5 option does not turn a third-party directory listing into a controllable charger. Both mobile-app control and H5 charging require the station to be connected to VoltHub, and the available payment methods depend on that station's configuration.

Why VoltHub matters to charging-station owners

The VoltHub app is also an operating platform. A site owner does not have to replace an existing charger solely to use VoltHub software. If the charger supports OCPP, VoltHub can assess it for connection to the driver app and operator dashboard.

Third-party charger onboarding can include:

  • station listing with location, power, connectors, hours, and price;
  • QR or RFID session access;
  • GCash, card, or VoltHub wallet payment options where enabled;
  • live status, session history, energy, revenue, and uptime reporting;
  • remote start, stop, reset, alerts, and pricing controls where supported; and
  • driver support and monthly revenue settlement under the selected plan.

Compatibility still has to be tested. “Supports OCPP” is the starting requirement, not an automatic guarantee. VoltHub checks the protocol version, backend endpoint and security settings, meter values, remote commands, connector behavior, and firmware implementation before a charger goes live.

See how the VoltHub CSMS and OCPP integration process works, then review the charging-station operation plans for charger-plus-app and app-only options.

2. Evro

Evro describes itself as a Philippine e-mobility platform working with participating charge-point operators. Its public feature list includes discovering stations, viewing connectors, monitoring sessions, and paying through supported methods such as GCash or credit card.

Evro can be useful when a participating operator has integrated its stations. As with any roaming or multi-operator platform, confirm that the specific location and charger are enabled for session control rather than assuming every map listing can be started in the app.

3. Solarius EV Charging

The Solarius app is designed around the Solarius destination and public charging network. Its official store listing describes real-time station availability, directions, QR or RFID activation, contactless payment, session notifications, history, and emailed receipts.

It is particularly relevant for Solarius-supported hotels, resorts, condominiums, and destination chargers. Check the station connector and operating terms before arrival.

4. xCharge+ by EVOxCharge

xCharge+ connects drivers to EVOxCharge stations and provides station status, QR session start, charging progress, payments, and history. EVOxCharge publishes support for AC and DC stations with GB/T AC/DC, Type 2, and CCS2 connectors, depending on the location.

For site hosts, EVOxCharge also markets business infrastructure and network-management services, so drivers and property owners should use the part of the platform designed for their role.

5. Supernova EV Charger

Supernova's iOS and Android listings describe station discovery, QR-code charging, online payment, real-time charging status, and transaction history. The app is intended for Supernova-supported locations and partnerships.

6. PlugShare

PlugShare is useful as a broad, community-supported discovery map. Drivers can filter by connector, read check-ins and reviews, view photos, and see notes from other users.

A community listing is not the same as live operator telemetry. A station may be offline, restricted, occupied, or priced differently from an older check-in, so use the relevant operator app for current session and payment information.

7. DOE EVCS map and provider portal

The Department of Energy's EV Industry Portal is the official place to verify registered charging infrastructure and EVCS provider accreditation. It is valuable for checking whether a provider is accredited as a Supplier, Service provider, or Operator.

For example, VoltHub's official record shows National Accreditation Level for all three categories, valid through June 7, 2029. The DOE portal is a government registry and verification source; it is not a replacement for every operator's live session and payment app.

What drivers should check before travelling

  1. Connector: Type 2 for AC, CCS2 or another compatible connector for DC, depending on the vehicle.
  2. Power: the station's maximum power and the vehicle's own AC or DC acceptance limit.
  3. Availability: whether a port is online, free, reserved, occupied, or restricted to customers.
  4. Access hours: a 24-hour charger may still be inside a property with its own entry rules.
  5. Price: per-kWh, per-minute, parking, idle, membership, and other fees.
  6. Payment: required app, wallet balance, GCash, card, RFID, or site counter process.
  7. Backup: identify another compatible station before a long trip.
